Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue is a massage style that incorporates specific techniques to effectively relieve several layers of muscle affected by injury, chronic pain, or tension built up over long periods of time.

This involves deep muscle compression, intense digital pressure and friction against the grain of the muscles (known as cross fiber friction). The purpose is to break up adhesions in the muscle fibers, release toxins and remove deeply held patterns of tension.

Deep Tissue massage is usually recommended for clients who prefer treatment centered therapy instead of more relaxing massage styles. However, Deep Tissue can also be combined with Swedish or Integrative massage to achieve a balance that suits your personal needs.
